CARNAL,  2022 Printed book

Photography an inherent voyeuristic medium, that takes the human body from reality and objectifies, through placing the body under the scope of a viewing item. I aim to take control of my medium and investigate the sexually charged portraits. The main objective that drives this work is to find out the audience's reaction or the value of the shock factor by placing nude bodies in private bedrooms on the walls of my exhibition space. As to take a stand through my own sexual experiences to understand the origin of my own sexuality.

When shooting for her series, Beauty Papers, photographer Harley Weir said in an interview "I didn't have to feel guilty... If you're a photographer, you're always asking something of someone, which can feel dirty."

Taking a photograph is already an act of voyeurism. Bodies are already sexualised. Bedrooms are already in the publics eyes.

I am simply putting the work of society into a photographic project.
